(App) Setting up and Using Groups

Creating a new Group

  1. Select Groups located at the bottom of the Bond Home application dashboard.
  2. Select + located at the top right of the of the Bond Home application.
  3. Select a group type.  You can only put 1 device type (shade or ceiling fan) in a single group.  
    1. Shade & Awning
    2. Ceiling Fan
    3. Light
  4. Select Continue.
  5. Select the compatible devices from the list.  You can select all using select all.
  6. Select Continue.
  7. You can adjust the name of the group or leave as is.
  8. Select Continue.
  9. Select Done.

Using Groups

  • Groups are displayed in alphabetical order so you may need to scroll down to see all of them.  It is not possible to change the position of a Group in the list without changing the name.
  • Groups are not exported to integrations like Alexa and Google.
  • Groups can contain devices from more than a single Bond.

Controlling a group

  1. Select Groups.
  2. From the list of groups, select the function you want to execute for the specific group.
    1. Functions will apply to all devices in the group.  If you choose to increase fan speed all of the fans in the "My Ceiling Fans" group will increase speed.  If the speeds on the fans are not the same, they will still not be the same after the speed increase.  If one is at speed 3 and the other speed 2, the new speeds will be 4 and 3.



    2. If you wish to control the individual device, you will need to select Devices and choose the specific device.
  3. If controlling a shade, for more options, tap on the greater than symbol (>).



    1. If the shade devices have slider control, you will be be able to set the position for the group.  All individual motors used in the Group need to have slider capability for the slider to display.

Renaming a Group

  1. Select the Options menu from the top right of the group.


  2. Tap on settings at the top right.
  3. Tap on Name, enter the information for the new name and select OK.



Adding and removing devices

  1. Select the options menu from the top right of the group.



  2. Tap on settings located at the top right.
  3. Select Devices.
  4. Tap on Edit (pencil icon) located at the top right
  5. Add or remove devices from a location or entire locations for a group.
  6. Select Continue.
  7. Tap on the back arrow located at the top left

Deleting Groups

  1. Select the options menu at the top right of the group.
  2. Tap on settings located at the top right.
  3. Choose the Settings option at the top right.
  4. Select Delete.
  5. Select Delete again.

Controlling a group

  1. Select Groups.
  2. Select a function to control the devices in the group.



  3. For more options, tap on the greater than symbol (>).

  1. Tap on the greater than symbol (>) to reveal more options.
  2. Tap on the settings icon located   at the top right.
  3. Tap on Name and edit.
  4. Tap on Done when complete.

Deleting a Group

  1. Select Groups located at the bottom of the Bond Home application dashboard.
  2. Tap on > at the right top of the Group.
  3. Tap on the options menu located at the top right.
  4. Select Delete Group.
  5. Select Delete.

Group Status indicators

The Group status indicator located at the top right of the group is used to indicate if the Bond Bridge used to control devices in the group are online.

GREEN

All Bond units are online.

Orange

One or more Bond units are offline.

Gray

All of the Bond units for the group are offline.
