- Shade & Awing
- Ceiling Fan
- Select Continue.
- Select the compatible devices from the list. You can select all using select all.
- All devices MUST be from the same Bond.
- Select Continue.
- You can adjust the name of the group or leave as is.
- Select Continue.
- Select Done.
Controlling devices in a Group
- Groups are displayed in alphabetical order so you may need to scroll down to see all of them. It is not possible to change the position of a Group in the list without changing the name.
- Groups are not exported to integrations like Alexa and Google.
- Groups can't contain devices from more than a single Bond.
- Select Groups.
- From the list of groups, select the function you want to execute.
- Functions will apply to all devices in the group. If you choose to increase fan speed all of the fans in the "My Ceiling Fans" group will increase speed. If the speeds on the fans are not the same, they will still not be the same after the speed increase. If one is at speed 3 and the other speed 2, the new speeds will be 4 and 3.
- If you wish to control the individual device, you will need to select Devices and choose the specific device.
*note - please see the documentation link below for using groups through the API.
This will help locate information like the group id.
