If a user reports that an Infratech heater is not responding, follow this troubleshooting flow to isolate the issue between the Wall Controller, the Network, and the Control Panel.
Step 1: Check Physical Control Ask the user to press the physical buttons on the wall unit.
If the buttons toggle the LED lights but the heater does not warm up: The Wall Controller is likely functioning, but the Control Panel (transformer) or the output circuit may be defective. This usually requires an electrician to measure high-voltage output at the panel.
If the buttons do not react at all: The Wall Controller may have no power or a hardware failure.
Step 2: Check Connection Status (Guide LED) Check the white LED on the right side of the unit.
Blinking every 10 seconds: The device is on Wi-Fi but cannot reach the server. Reboot the router or check internet status.
Solid LED (but App shows offline): The device thinks it is connected, but the App isn't receiving status. Proceed to Reset.
Step 3: Reset Procedures
Wi-Fi Reset: Hold the button for 5 seconds (until LED goes solid). Re-add the device to the network.
Factory Reset: If issues persist, hold the button for 15 seconds (until LED blinks fast). This wipes schedules and network settings. Note: This does not revert firmware versions.
Lifespan Note Infratech Control Panels have a maximum operational lifespan. In the future, the app may alert dealers when a panel has reached high usage hours and requires proactive replacement to prevent failure.
