Features, Safety, and the "Auto Timer"

The Auto Timer (2-Hour Safety Shutoff) Due to US regulations regarding heaters controlled from outside the home, all Infratech Bond controllers feature a hard-coded Auto Timer.

• Function: The heater will automatically turn OFF after 2 hours of operation.

• Resetting the Timer: Any interaction with the device resets the 2-hour countdown.

  • Example: If the heater has been on for 1 hour, and you change the dimming level from 50% to 75%, the timer resets back to a full 2 hours.

  • This applies to physical button presses, App commands, Schedules, or Voice commands (Alexa/Google).

• User Note: There is no audible "beep" on the device before it turns off, though the App displays a countdown.

Integration & Smart Features

• Schedules: Supported on both models.

  • Dimmer: Can schedule On, Off, and Set Heat Level.

  • Switch: Can schedule On and Off only.

• Groups:

  • Dimmer-only Groups: Full control (On, Off, Set %, Increase/Decrease).

  • Mixed Groups: Limited to common actions (On/Off, Toggle).

• Voice Assistants:

  • Users can say "Alexa, set heater to 30%" (Dimmer only) or use "Low/Medium/High."

  • Switch models are limited to "Turn On/Turn Off."

Unsupported Features

• Scenes: Not currently supported.

• Multi-Way Control: Not supported for safety reasons. You cannot link two switches to control the same heater.
