Overview
The Mate Pro is a versatile wet-rated remote control designed to work directly with motorized shades, screens, pergolas, and other devices. It supports interior and exterior motors and can operate standalone or in combination with a Bond Bridge Pro for advanced features.
Key features include:
Localized RF control (~1,500 sq. ft. range)
Bluetooth connectivity for app configuration
Support for multiple motor technologies (e.g., Somfy RTS, Dooya, GAPOSA)
Channel mapping and naming via the app
“All Channel” functionality for specific motor technologies
Mate Pro Components and Packaging
Each Mate Pro package includes:
Mate Pro remote control
Magnetic wall mount (optional screw mounts with screws and anchors)
Two AAA batteries
Strong adhesive tape and a small “guitar pick” tool for opening battery cover
Manual and setup guide
Important Notes:
The remote is wet-rated, but the shell is not fully waterproof.
Two labels are included; one under the cover is waterproof.
Batteries are replaceable via the small screws and gasket.
Channels and Motor Technology Setup
Mate Pro supports multiple channels and motor technologies. Each channel can control a different motor or group of motors.
Steps to set up a channel manually (without the app):
Navigate to the desired channel on the Mate Pro.
Press and hold the two side buttons simultaneously to enter motor technology selection mode.
Use the arrow buttons to select the motor technology (e.g., Somfy RTS, Dooya, GAPOSA).
Press the stop button to confirm.
Repeat for additional channels as needed.
Channels can be named in the app for easy identification (e.g., “SCR1” for screen 1).
Notes:
The Mate Pro can function standalone, without a Bridge or app.
Some motor technologies require referencing a manufacturer-specific button (e.g., Tuya P2) mapped to Mate Pro’s buttons.
Settings like channel name and motor technology are stored locally on the Mate.
“All Channel” Logic
The All Channel feature allows multiple motors of the same technology to respond simultaneously to a single channel command.
Key Points:
Supported automatic All Channel technologies: GAPOSA, Dooya
Pressing the old channel button will control all motors of that technology in unison.
Unsupported All Channel technologies: Somfy RTS requires each motor to be paired individually as a master channel.
Mixed motor technologies:
If you have multiple motor types (e.g., GAPOSA and Somfy) in a channel, the All Channel functionality only applies to technologies that support it.
Other motors must be paired individually.
Practical Example:
Channel 1: GAPOSA Motor A, Motor B, Motor C → All move together automatically.
Channel 2: Somfy Motor D, Motor E → Each motor must be paired manually.
Integration with Bond Bridge Pro
When paired with a Bond Bridge Pro, Mate Pro can:
Use key buttons for custom actions (e.g., favorite position, open/close specific devices)
Control devices and scenes beyond Mate’s native RF support
Relay signals to devices unsupported directly by Mate (e.g., Zigbee or 350 MHz motors like Equinox)
Important Notes:
Linking a device via the app stores the connection on the Bridge, not on the Mate.
If the Bridge is offline, Mate cannot control devices linked only through the Bridge.
The app acts as a 7-inch interface for Mate when connected via Bluetooth.
Bluetooth and App Connectivity
Mate Pro uses Bluetooth for initial setup and configuration.
The remote enters sleep mode to conserve battery, periodically sending signals to the app.
For faster connection: press or shake the remote near your phone.
The app allows:
Channel and motor technology configuration
Channel naming
Key button assignments
Firmware updates
Limitations and Current Considerations
Some motor technologies supported by Bond Bridge are not yet supported by Mate.
Key buttons are functional only with Bridge Pro for advanced actions.
The old channel can be confusing in mixed setups; improvements are in progress.
Firmware updates and app enhancements will expand functionalities over time (e.g., lighting control, RGB control, favorite positions).
Summary
All Channel allows simultaneous control of multiple motors for supported technologies.
Mixed motor setups require pairing each unsupported motor manually.
Mate Pro settings (channel name and motor technology) are stored locally.
Advanced functions require Bond Bridge Pro integration.
Use the app for easy setup, naming, and firmware management.
