Mate User Manual

Introduction

Mate Pro is a smart, 15-channel handheld remote control for motorized shades, screens, pergolas, awnings, and more.

Mate communicates directly with the motor using the same signals as the manufacturer’s remote, allowing you to raise, lower, stop, set limits, and even set favorite positions.

Energizer Lithium AAA batteries recommended for optimal performance in cold climates. 

Do not expose Mate to direct sun when not in handheld operation.

Basic Operation

1. LEFT/RIGHT: Navigate between channels
2. UP: Open/Raise the shade
3. DOWN: Close/Lower the shade
4. STOP: Stop shade
5. KEY 1/2/3: Assign custom actions for these keys with the Bond Home app
6. MENU: Used to set channel technologies and perform reset procedures
7. PAIR: Used to pair Mate with motorized shades

Installing Batteries

1. Remove back cover with provided guitar pick
2. Remove the internal battery cover with a screwdriver
3. Install batteries
4. Reinstall battery cover: be careful to not damage the waterproof gasket during this step
5. Reinstall back cover

Setting Up Mate with the Bond Home app

• Install the Bond Home app
• Create or log in to your account
• In the Bond Home app dashboard, press +
• In the bottom right corner, tap on Scan QR Code
• Scan the QR Code in the back of your Mate
• Follow the in-app instructions

Setting Up Mate without the app

It’s possible to set a different motor technology for each of 15 Mate’s channels. Channel 00 acts as master channel - setting it changes all channels 1-15

1. Use LEFT or RIGHT keys to navigate between channels
2. Tap Key 1 and Key 3 briefly.
3. Use UP or DOWN to cycle through available technologies
4. Press STOP to save channel the selected channel technologies
