bond bridge - Using IFTTT with bond

 IFTTT Instructions 

(a) Setup Account 

  • Go to https://ifttt.com/
  • Click "Sign up".
  • You have an option to continue with your Google/Facebook account or if you want to use an email address, click on "sign up" then enter your email address and your desired password.
  • Click "Sign up".

(b) Link bond using an IFTTT account  

  • Go to https://ifttt.com/
  • Sign in your IFTTT account.
  • Type in bond on the search bar.
  • Choose "Services".
  • Click bond.
  • Click "Connect".
  • Authorize IFTTT if asked to.

(c) using bond as THAT (examples are using date and time)

(1) Run Percentage 

  • Click on your profile located in the upper right hand section of the page. 
  • Select "Create".
  • Click on "+This" (Colored gray in the phrase "If This Then That")
  • Look/search for "Date & Time" and select it.
  • Select the one that corresponds to what you want to do.
  • Set the information for the date/time.
  • Select "Create Trigger".
  • Click on "+That" (Colored gray in the phrase "If This Then That").
  • Look for "bond" and select it.
  • Select "Run Percentage Action".
  • Select the device with the corresponding percentage action (Set / Increase / Decrease).
  • Choose percentage rating.
  • Click on "Create Action".
  • Click "Finish".

(2) Turning On Device in IFTTT 

  • Click on your profile located in the upper right hand section of the page. 
  • Select "Create".
  • Click on "+This" (Colored gray in the phrase "If This Then That")
  • Look/search for "Date & Time" and select it.
  • Select the one that corresponds to what you want to do.
  • Fill in the desired time and duration (00 Minutes if no timer).
  • Select "Create Trigger".
  • Click on "+That" (Colored gray in the phrase "If This Then That").
  • Look for "bond" and select it.
  • Select "Turn On Device".
  • Select which device you wanted to perform the action.
  • Click on "Create Action".
  • Click on "Finish".

(3) Turning Off Device in IFTTT  

  • Click on your profile located in the upper right hand section of the page. 
  • Select "Create".
  • Click on "+This" (Colored gray in the phrase "If This Then That")
  • Look/search for "Date & Time" and select it.
  • Select the one that corresponds to what you want to do.
  • Fill in the desired time and duration (00 Minutes if no timer).
  • Select "Create Trigger".
  • Click on "+That" (Colored gray in the phrase "If This Then That").
  • Look for "bond" and select it.
  • Select "Turn Off Device".
  • Select which device you wanted to perform the action.
  • Click on "Create Action".
  • Click on "Finish".

(4) Run Simple Action 

  • Click on your profile located in the upper right hand section of the page. 
  • Select "Create".
  • Click on "+This" (Colored gray in the phrase "If This Then That")
  • Look/search for "Date & Time" and select it.
  • Select the one that corresponds to what you want to do.
  • Set the information for the date/time.
  • Select "Create Trigger".
  • Click on "+That" (Colored gray in the phrase "If This Then That").
  • Look for "bond" and select it.
  • Select "Run Simple Action".
  • Select the device with the corresponding action (Turn On / Off).
  • Click on "Create Action".
  • Click on "Finish".

  • Is there anyway to select a specific sensor connected to your ecobee? I have several sensors throughout the house with a fan in one of them. If the location with the fan reaches a certain temperature I would like to fan to kick on for that room.

  • Use percentages to set fan speed 10-25% for low, 50% medium and above 75% for high.
