(APP) Location information for schedules

Why do I need to enable time zone and location information for my schedules to work?

Scheduling in the Bond Home application requires location to be allowed for the Bond Home application to function.  Time zone information needs be enabled in order for schedules to work properly for Twilight activations (dusk, dawn, sunrise, sunset).

Normally, the information that is required for the schedules to operate at the correct time is done when setting up the schedule.  If this needs to change or is not working as expected, please check the following items.

Location Information

Android 

  1. Open settings on the phone with the Bond Home application.
  2. Select apps.
  3. Locate Bond.
  4. Make sure Location is allowed.
  5. Allow access if not already allowed. Use the "Allow only while using the app" option.
  6. Make sure Use precise location is selected.

ios

  1. Open settings on the phone with the Bond Home application.
  2. Scroll down on the settings left panel to locate bond.
  3. Select Bond.
  4. Select Location.
  5. Choose "While using the app".
  6. Make sure precise location is also enabled.
Time zone

Android

    1. In the Bond Home application, select the Bond device to adjust.
    2. Tap on Advanced.
    3. Scroll down and select Time & Location.
    4. For Time zone

      1. Tap on Timezone.
      2. If your phone and the Bond device are in the same time zone, choose use phone.
      3. If the Bond device is on a different time zone select from the list.
      4. Tap on save.
    5. For Location

      1. Tap on Location.
      2. Tap on yes.
    6. Tap on the back arrow at the top left of the application to return to the dashboard screen.

iOS

  1. In the Bond Home application, select the Bond device to adjust.
  2. Tap on Advanced.
  3. Scroll down and select Time & Location.
  4. For Time zone

    1. Tap on Timezone.
    2. If your phone and the Bond device are in the same time zone, select use phone.
    3. If the Bond device is in a different time zone select from the list.
    4. Tap on save.
  5. For Location

    1. Tap on Location.
    2. Tap on yes.
  6. tap on the back arrow at the top left of the application to return to the dashboard screen.
